Main Street

South Main (SoMa) - Real Estate in the South Main area is alive, abundant and has a great mix of available real estate options. If you are looking to rent or buy a home, a realtor who knows the area that you are interested in will have you covered.

When you strike up a conversation about South Main one of the first things you will discuss is the abundance of great food. Who does not like a great meal? The neighbourhood is unique and is somewhat separated with Main Street having condos above retail, the west side of Main being more groomed, and the east side being more artsy. The properties all live on beautiful tree lined streets with easy walking and bike access. Families are seen playing in yards and going for walks, transit is close using Main street and other close streets taking you to the skytrain.

I urge you to take a walk up and down Main street starting at either 12th or 33rd. After taking a walk down one side, plan for a break before you take on the other side. In the way of retail you will find antique stores, art galleries, reclaimed teak furniture, handmade and reclaimed clothing, grocery stores, markets, and much more.

Once you have exhausted yourself you will have no choice but to stop in for a latte at one of the many coffee shops or an incredible doughnut at 49th Parallel/Lucky’s Doughnuts before you continue on your journey. For lunch, check out "Splitz Burgers" for a great burger, "Au Petit Cafe" for the best Vietnamese food in Vancouver or any of the other resturants in between. If you are looking for something sweet, you need to stop at "Sweet Revenge" for some old fashioned chocolate cake or one of their many other goodies.
